ببر بنگال پرشمارترین گونه ببر در آسیاست و در جنگل های انبوه و مرداب ها و جنگل‌های سراسر هند، بنگلادش، بوتان و نپال یافت می‌شود، اگرچه گستره ببر بنگال امروز بسیار کمتر از گذشته است.
