پلنگ ابری (Clouded Leopard)

مردم قبلا تصور می کردند که ساختار انبوه و دندانهای نیش بزرگ پلنگ ابری برای شکار طعمه‌های بزرگتر از خودش در جنگل تکامل یافته است. با این حال، مطالعات نشان داده است که در حقیقت 65٪ از رژیم غذایی آنها از طعمه‌های کوچکتر از جمله جوندگان و پستانداران تشکیل شده است.

People used to think that the stocky build and the large canines of the Clouded Leopard were adaptations for hunting larger prey than itself in the forest. However, studies have shown that in fact 65% of their diet is comprised of smaller prey species including rodents and primates.
